Why IntranetLounge?
Just a few years ago, information about intranets was virtually absent from the internet. Even most intranet professionals were second-guessing most of the time at how they should work.
In the last couple of years the intranet has evolved into a serious tool for in-company communication. Virtually every organization nowadays has one, yet the effectiveness of their intranets leaves a lot to be desired.
Fortunately, these days plenty of good articles are being written daily, concerning such topics as intranet management, intranet 2.0 (or rather the social intranet), intranet strategies, as well as practical case studies and so on.
Participate
The idea of this site is to be a point of reference for intranet information. As a member you can submit articles, rate them, as well as comment on them.

Free
Membership is free. After choosing your username and password, a valid email address will be required to verify your identity. You know the drill.
Your email address will only be used to send you automatic updates on your activities, if you choose so. Your email address will not be used for any other purposes. It will not be shared with anyone else.
IntranetLounge is a non-commercial initiative. There is no product or vendor behind the site. There are no ads on the site (yet!).
Of course there are costs involved in running a site. So as this site becomes more popular, that might have to change. This site strives however to keep irrelevant ads away. Any ad that would be displayed in the future should somehow fit the purpose of this site.
If you have a seminar or a workshop coming up, or would like to exchange banners, contact the site admin.
Captcha's
The internet brings us many things, some good, some bad. One of the bad things is SPAM.
This is what we do to prevent spam:
- Email verification of your account
- Submitted articles are automatically checked for possible spam links
- Captcha for submitting articles and comments for '''new''' members
- Feedback mechanism for spam. Members involved with confirmed spam activities will be penalized according to the user score table. Repeat offenders will receive a perma-ban. Should your post have been mistaken for spam and you do not agree with the reports (mistakes are possible), please contact us.
For our valued contributing members there is good news: The Captcha will disappear when you reach a certain score. The number is our little secret, but it is not high. Just high enough so we know for sure you're not a bot!
